This is the story about my husband Chris and I (Christina) and our dream to travel the world. In September 2011, we packed our back packs, bought a one-way ticket to Quito, Ecuador and booked five nights in a hostel. The rest of the story, all 19 months, 23 countries and 5 continents, have been recorded here in our travel blog. At the time, it was our gift to our friends and family, to share our journey, our experience with them. And now, it remains a testament to our courage to follow our hearts and our conviction to make our dreams a reality.
If you’re new to our site, we hope you enjoy our adventure too. To help you get oriented, the blog is presented with the most recent entries first. If you would like to start at the beginning, you can use the calendar widget on the left and select September 2011. Or if you prefer, you can use the category widget to pick a location to read about. Some of the highlights included our 8 day cruise to the Galapagos Islands and the 19 day cruise to Antarctica. My favourite experience of all was walking the Camino de Santiago in June 2012. Here are links to the beginning entries of those adventures:

Of course travelling with your spouse for 19 months is a story in itself. While the focus of the blog was our travels, we did share some thoughts and insights along the way, starting from the beginning, the journey before the journey, and then checking in at 6 months and then again at 12 months.
Enjoy!
